Biographical
Acted as counsel in the fields of labour relations, construction claims, estates and general civil litigation , at the Vancouver law firm of Swinton & Company (now Miller Thompson) from 1972 to 1990 (partner from 1977 onwards). From April 1990, elected to restrict practice chiefly to acting as an arbitrator and mediator in civil and labour relations disputes. Currently on Sabbatical until March 31, 2017. Will start taking bookings January 2017. 604 644 3120. Acted as chairman of arbitration boards and as mediator in disputes involving numerous different parties and industries. (see Appendix below) Member of the Arbitrators Association of B.C., and included on the roster of Arbitrators at the B.C. International Commercial Arbitration Centre. On the roster of Arbitrators for the Collective Agreement Arbitration Bureau, a statutory body administering expedited arbitrations under the Labour Relations Code of B.C.
